Editographer
VIDEO EDITOR + VIDEOGRAPHER (EDITOGRAPHER)
We're looking for someone with endless patience and focus—cheetah-stalking-gazelle focus. Someone whose finger hovers over the record button at exactly the right moment. Who notices the tiny details everyone else misses, while somehow keeping the entire story in their head. Someone who knows when to move the camera, when to let a moment breathe, and when to cut three seconds that make all the difference.
If this sounds like you, then you might be the Editographer we’re looking for.
Working alongside Driven's team of writers, designers, photographers, strategists, and fellow editors, you'll create memorable visual stories for regional, national, and global brands. One day you might be filming a documentary-style interview that makes someone laugh, cry, or think differently. The next, you'll be cutting a series of fast-paced social videos designed to stop thumbs on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, YouTube, and whatever platform hits next.
You'll be as comfortable behind a cinema camera as you are deep in the details of an editing timeline. Some people shoot, some people edit—but you refuse to pick a lane, and that’s exactly the way we want it.
On set, you'll operate cameras like it’s second nature, shape lighting that makes people and products look amazing, and capture audio so clean it could pass for a podcast studio. You'll communicate clearly with clients and crew, help guide interviews, solve problems on the fly, and know that every creative decision—from lens choice to lighting setup—helps tell a better story.
Back in the studio, you'll transform raw footage into something people actually want to watch. Short-form documentaries. Branded films. Social campaigns. Product videos. Event recaps. Platform-native content that never feels like it was made somewhere else. You'll understand pacing, storytelling, music, sound design, motion graphics, and the subtle but very real differences between what works on YouTube versus TikTok versus LinkedIn.
This role is for someone who's equally obsessed with great cinematography and great editing. Someone who can think strategically, execute creatively, and sweat the details without ever losing sight of the bigger picture.
Talents:
Expert knowledge of cinematography, including camera operation, lighting, composition, lens selection, and visual storytelling
Advanced editing skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder)
Ability to edit across formats—from documentary-style films and branded content to fast-paced, platform-native social media videos
Deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, music, and sound design
Experience planning, directing, and producing video shoots independently and collaboratively
Confidence communicating with clients, interview subjects, and production crews on set
Working knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and graphic integration
Strong understanding of the creative differences between TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital platforms
Experience with professional camera systems, audio equipment, and lighting gear
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
A collaborative mindset with a willingness to both lead and support teammates throughout production and post-production
Curiosity, creativity, and an eye for the details that elevate good work into great work
Must Be:

Humble
Efficient
Committed
A team player

Experience:
5+ years with freelance, agency, or brand—with a portfolio demonstrating both video capture and editorial work
What You Get:
Paid $55,000.00 - $70,000.00

Remarkable coworkers who support each other while collaborating on some amazing projects—and an espresso machine, in case you need a little something more than that to get started each day
